Woodloving Creations - T. E. Davis

This chair was created as a diversion from Tom's work with cedar, and his fascination with the gnarled shapes of holly roots, as well as their white color. It is made of 30+ individually finished holly roots. The roots have been finished to a level of smoothness that shines, even with its matte finish. Each of the roots have be interlocked by pegs and mortise and tenon joints, so that they appear to be intertwined. The angled, cushioned seat is covered with emerald green deer skin. Wood finished with tung oil.
